This High-Tech Stock Is Poised to Soar

Thanks to its unique (and highly desirable) technology, one company could double or even triple in price in the next few months. In short, this small American company is revolutionizing the way you watch movies, listen to music and hear advertisements with its "direct sound technology."

This year, the company has quietly secured licensing agreements with two well-known blue-chip companies to release its product. Once its "direct sound technology" is made available to mainstream buyers, this company's cheap stock could rocket to monumental levels. See the full details here.

When Death Is the Best Investment

A good friend recently called me. He was excited.

"I just bought a fantastic whole life policy from a guy I know," he said. "I can't believe the benefits. I don't know why everyone doesn't do this."

"Really?" I said.

"Yes," he went on, "unlike an IRA, you can invest unlimited amounts and still get tax-free compounding. You can borrow against the policy if you need to. And no matter how bad the financial markets get..."

Yes... This Is Legal

I'm going to show you a tax-dodging solution that's ideal for income-seeking investors - Master Limited Partnerships (MLPs).

MLPs offer investors tax-deferred dividends that are generally larger than anything you'll find in the realm of blue chips.

Here's how it works...

An MLP must pay out 90% of its earnings in the form of dividends. As a result, it does not pay corporate taxes (it's a similar structure to REITs).

An MLP investor is technically a partner in the company, not simply a shareholder. That fact changes the way Uncle Sam treats the dividends.

Every year at this time, the talking heads warn us to sell our stocks and not reload until the arrival of the Great Pumpkin. It's a lot of needless selling just to miss the summer doldrums.

Although it hasn't been the worst advice I've heard over the last decade, the Sell-In-May strategy can be a loser after factoring in dividends and tax implications.

So does that mean it's hopeless to use the idea of seasonal investing to boost our returns?

The problem with blindly selling in May is...

Japan's Big Gamble

Before this year's sharp upturn, Japan's economy and stock market had been going nowhere fast for a long, long time.

Let's put things in perspective.

In 1990, when I was head of Japan equity sales for Robert Baird & Co., the market value of Japan's stock market was at its peak - roughly 50% the value of all world markets combined.

But by last November, its stock market was down 75% from its peak - representing just 8% of world stock markets...

The Top Reason Gold Will Drop From Here

No one likes to hear an investment analyst say, "I told you so."

It's unseemly. And it grates.

After all, we know market pundits can look back on the good calls and conveniently forget about the bad ones. On top of this selective memory, a good call doesn't necessarily show any particularly acumen. Maybe a stock or a currency or a commodity went up or down as predicted but not for the reasons the analyst foresaw.

However, gold has hit the skids - it recently broke through a 2 1/2-year low - and for exactly the reasons I've been warning about for months.

If you have a big position in gold... it's time to cup your groin.
