Facebook limits ads to encourage mobile optimization
Facebook is encouraging advertisers to ensure their websites load quickly by limiting when and where ads appear if they direct users to slow-loading websites. The company says slow-loading sites can be a negative experience for people and that as many as 40% of users click away from a site if a page takes three seconds to load.

Top brands struggle to rein in fake social accounts

Almost a fifth of 4,840 social media accounts associated with 10 top brands, including Starbucks, Amazon, BMW and Chanel, are fake, according to a Proofpoint report. "The prevalence of fraudulent accounts is a real security threat to anyone engaging on social media," the report notes.

The costs of celebrity social sponsorship
Brands are being charged an average of $187,500 for sponsored video posts by celebrities and social influencers, according to Captiv8. The agency also said that influencers with up to 7 million followers are charging $75,000 for Snapchat or Instagram posts and $30,000 for one tweet.
