What to know: The tariffs would be applied to every country. But, in a shift from Trump's campaign plans, they would cover only critical imports, The Post reported this morning.
In other Trump news: His adviser Elon Musk posted a flurry of attacks against Britain's prime minister. And Mexican towns are nervously awaiting Trump's immigrant deportations.

A wide-reaching winter storm is hitting from Kansas to Delaware.

The New Orleans attacker surveyed the area with Meta smart glasses.

New details: Shamsud-Din Jabbar recorded footage of the city's French Quarter with the glasses in October, the FBI said. He wore them again during his deadly rampage last week.
What else to know: He had bombmaking materials at his Houston home and a New Orleans rental, the FBI said, and a transmitter in his vehicle intended for bombs placed in coolers.

The NFL playoff field is set.

The top seeds: The Detroit Lions lead the NFC after beating the Minnesota Vikings last night. In the AFC, the Kansas City Chiefs earned the first-round bye.
The schedule: It begins Saturday, with six first-round games spread over three days — find the full bracket here. And it ends with Super Bowl LIX, Feb. 9 in New Orleans.

A single tuna as heavy as a grizzly bear sold for $1.3 million in Japan.

A very fancy fish: The Oma Pacific bluefin tuna, known as the "black diamond" of tuna, is highly prized for sashimi. This one, caught Saturday, weighed 608 pounds.
Where can I eat it? It's being served at 13 restaurants of a Michelin-starred Japanese sushi chain, the Onodera Group, which won the fish at auction yesterday.
