2009 US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program Boys Thanksgiving Interregional Schedule Announced
Nation's top boys invited to elite competition and player development 1995 and 1996 age groups and U.S. Under-14 National Team Navy and Red squads to participate FRISCO, Texas (November 2, 2009) - Top national talent will converge on Disney's Wide World of Sports® Complex for the US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program http://www.usyouthsoccer.org/link.asp?l=7&mid=698003&lid=98591 (US Youth Soccer ODP) Boys Thanksgiving Interregional. Teams from US Youth Soccer's four regions will compete Nov. 27-30, 2009. In addition to the 1995 and 1996 US Youth Soccer ODP Boys regional teams, the event will also feature the U.S. Under-14 National Team Navy and Red squads.
Continuing its tradition of elite play, competition and player development, youth from the nation's elite player identification and development program, US Youth Soccer ODP, will train and compete in front of U.S. National Team Staff, professional and collegiate coaches to maximize their exposure for selection to the next level of play.
Under-14 Boys National Development Program head coach Manny Schellscheidt believes, "Over the years, US Youth Soccer ODP has played a meaningful role in player development in the United States as it provides elite players from across the nation with valuable experience and a platform to improve. Our staff always enjoys a chance to attend an event which brings players together from different regions around the country. There is always good competition, and when you're able to evaluate players in these scenarios, you have a better idea of how they will fare as they attempt to reach the next level in their careers."

New US Youth Soccer ODP uniforms http://www.usyouthsoccer.org/link.asp?l=9&mid=698003&lid=98591 will be unveiled at the event. This is the first time that the US Youth Soccer ODP Boys and Girls regional teams will have customized uniforms by adidas. US Youth Soccer ODP uniforms are part of the adidas mi Team line. Each player receives home and away uniforms, warm-ups and cleats from adidas.
