 | SAKAI, Japan (UPI) -- Sony Corp. says it has scrapped a plan to jointly produce liquid crystal display, or LCD, television panels with Sharp Corp. in Japan.
Instead, Sony will increase its procurement of low-priced panels made in Taiwan to about 50 percent of its current total supply, up from the present level of about 30 percent, The Yomiuri Shimbun reported Sunday.
