Super F League Announces Opening of a New League in San Diego, CA
Overland Park, KS, May 2nd, 2011
Super F League, the fastest growing futsal organization in the country, has added a new league.The Super F League – 619futsal, will begin operations in the San Diego area.Sean Bowers is directing the league and plans on starting a Winter Session in November 2011 as well as a spring session starting March 2012.All league games will be played at Miramar College, located in the center of San Diego, at the brand new field house gym which was opened January 2009.
Sean Bowers was a member of the U.S. National Futsal Team from 1995-2004. Sean is the most capped player in US Soccer futsal history earning 36 international caps. He led the team as captain of the US squad from 1998-2004. Under his leadership, the US Futsal team won the 1996 & 2004 CONCACAF gold medal and played in the 1996 World Cup (held in Spain) and the 2004 World Cup in Taiwan.“After 10 amazing years playing futsal against the top national teams in the world, I wanted to bring my experiences to my hometown of San Diego.619futsal will provide a futsal league through which players of all ages and skill levels will have the opportunity to develop the technical side of their game.”
