Happy June, Chocolate Enthusiasts, Everyone always asks us why we went into business in the first place. You might say that when we lost a father, we sought out and found a dream. CHOCOLATE CHOCOLATE has been our dream for almost 30 years. Our father loved chocolate. As an economist for the World Bank, he traveled the globe for his work. Whenever he visited Switzerland or Belgium, he came home toting a suitcase stuffed with chocolate for his children. Needless to say, our chocolate lovin' father turned us into chocoholics long before it was a word. But now you don't have to travel to Europe for fine chocolate! And here's a fact: Chocolate is NOT exclusively for women. Ninety percent of our locally made Dark Chocolate Almond Bark fans are MEN. So this Father's Day, make your papa's day with some of this: Dark Almond Bark/$19.95 per pound Father's Day is always a bittersweet holiday for us, but as we say in our chocolate memoir, we take comfort in knowing our father would've loved our shop by virtue of chocolate and daughters. Happy Father's Day! Ginger & Frances www.chocolatedc.com |
