We'll be in bare-knuckle fights to save wildlife in places like Maine, where lynx are dying in cruel fur traps, and New Mexico, where we are taking on horrific wildlife-killing contests. We know how to win these fights. In 2014 the Center won the biggest critical habitat designation ever -- protection for 685 miles of beachfront and more than 300,000 square miles of ocean for loggerhead turtles. We stopped the slaughter of the Huckleberry wolf pack in Washington and filed suit to protect walruses and ringed seals by blocking oil drilling in the Arctic. We tackled runaway human population growth, overconsumption and climate change, taking on everyone from Shell Oil and Congress to Walmart, McDonald's and the meat industry.
