Lewis -- Sometimes, in order to do the right thing, our elected officials just need a little push. And they're about to have a golden opportunity. When they return to work on Tuesday, they'll have the chance to make things right on the Supreme Court nomination. Senate leaders' unprecedented obstruction of President Obama's nominee, Judge Merrick Garland, is frankly inexcusable, but they're not going to change course on their own -- they need to hear that the American people expect better from them. So get ready, stretch those muscles, do whatever you need to do to warm up -- because we're about to turn up the pressure. Add your voice and help push Senate leaders to do the right thing by putting the Supreme Court above partisan politics. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and his colleagues are refusing to hold a public hearing with Judge Garland -- because they know that he's one of the most highly qualified candidates ever nominated to the Supreme Court, and a hearing will only make their partisan priorities even more obvious to the American people. That's why, in just a few days, OFA supporters from communities all over the country will be holding Senate leaders like Mitch McConnell and Chuck Grassley accountable for the kind of petty politics that's left the Supreme Court short-handed for nearly 200 days and continues to jeopardize America's judicial system. The Senate will adjourn again in just over a month -- plenty of time to hold a hearing -- but if they're going to do right by their constituents, they need to hear from us now. Don't sit on the sidelines. Say you'll let obstructionist senators know they need to take action on the Supreme Court vacancy: https://my.barackobama.com/Turn-Up-The-Pressure Let's do this.
