Pro Golfer Shanks Golf Ball Into The Crowd Twice While this video is clearly a throwback as is evident from the stunning video quality, it's also a haunting testament to the risky business that can be joining the crowd at a golf tournament. There's no backstop around to shield you from those errant golf shots, where things didn't go as planned. The fact that the shank occurs twice really makes you feel it for the crowd.
Guy Jumps Off Aircraft Carrier Over The Marianas Trench It's pretty trippy to mull over the fact that there's 3,500 feet of water below this guy on that jump. Also, a moment of deep appreciation for how blue the water is at the Marianas Trench. Just imagine taking a pencil dive into that water. You might end up crossing paths with Cthulu.
Strategically Unprofessional and Plain Lazy "Not My Job" Moments As intelligent people, it's our collective prerogative to do as little work as possible while looking like we're still maintaining some semblance of qualtity conmptrol. The "not my job" moments that surround us serve as a reminder that even if we do our jobs horribly, stupidly wrong, if your boss doesn't notice and a customer/client doesn't complain, then you're good to go.
People's Best Guesses As To What Will Be Normal By 2031 There are definitely a few ways to take this whole "what do you think the future will be like" thing and honestly opinions are mixed. Maybe in ten years we'll all be eating cheap tasty lab-grown barbeque and driving electric cars to Call-Of-Duty night at the senior center. Or maybe we'll all have to move back into our parents houses because the tri-annual firestorms burned down our coffin-sized micro-studio apartments. Possibly a rise of cults? Maybe a mix of everything? If it's anything like most predictions of the future, all of these are probably completely wrong.
Woman Sneaks Herself Into FB Group For Landlords, Sneaks Their Secrets Unfortunately, many of us have had our encounters with testy landlords that like to play outside the bounds of what's legal when it comes to tenant rights. It's as if they assume that people won't take it upon themselves to review the very laws that exist to protect them from getting totally screwed over. This woman was able to sneak herself into a FB group that's in place for landlords. What she went on to learn was troubling to say the very least. Hopefully the insights she gained from the group can help other people avoid falling prey to being taken advantage of by landlords that decided to abandon their moral compasses. Check out a pro revenge story where a landlord told lies to keep a deposit, and then ended up being reported to the IRS for tax fraud.
Pilot's Window Breaks, Copilot Goes Full Superhero Mode As far as stories that effectively defy the bounds of what we thought was possible for the human body to withstand, this tale about British Airways flight 5390 is one for the books. It's just the kind of story that involves an unprecedented level of fearless heroism in the face of a truly nightmarish turn of events. One can only imagine what kinds of thoughts must've been racing through that pilot's brain. Also though, the copilot had to have been weathering tidal waves of internal panic. The fact that the pilot comes out of the event alive (with some gnarly sustained injuries/trauma though) is crazy.
