The CDC issued a health advisory to increase COVID-19 vaccinations among people who are pregnant, recently pregnant, or trying to become pregnant to prevent serious illness and death from COVID-19.
Pfizer and BioNTech submitted data to the FDA on the safety and efficacy of their COVID-19 vaccine for children younger than 12, but kids may have to wait until November to get it. An unnamed source told The Wall Street Journal that Pfizer would submit its application for Emergency Use Authorization in the coming weeks, even though it had targeted the end of September.
The Mu variant may no longer be spreading through the U.S. Data from Outbreak.info, a website that tracks the coronavirus and its variants globally, shows that there have been no cases of Mu variant detected in the U.S. over the past 7 days.
