Who doesn't love fall? The season is especially enjoyable in St. Louis, and the event calendar is bursting with activities to keep the good times rolling.

Fright Fest
September 23 to October 30
With thrills both on and off the rides, Fright Fest at Six Flags St. Louis is one of the spookiest events of the season. During the day, family-friendly attractions abound, but at night, all the creatures that go bump in the night haunt the park.

While you're here: Explore Eureka, Missouri, which encompasses 164 acres of parks and public lands, including Route 66 State Park, as well as an array of nature trails, bike paths and waterways. For more seasonal fun, check out the Eureka Scarecrow Festival, running from Oct. 1 to 31.

Best of Missouri Market
October 7 to 9
This fall, the Best of Missouri Market returns to the Missouri Botanical Garden with almost 100 vendors, offering unique handicrafts, locally produced foodstuffs, bespoke jewelry, native plants and more. A stone's throw from the Garden, the Historic Shaw Art Fair will take place on Oct. 8 and 9 at the intersection of Flora Place and Tower Grove Avenue.

While you're here: Don't miss the Tower Grove Farmers' Market, held every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. through Nov. 5. After stocking up on local favorites from Cham Bakery, Damn Fine Hand Pies, Whisk, Field to Fire and Mylk and Hummus, meander through the grassy meadows of Tower Grove Park, which abuts the Garden to the south.

Hadestown

In Hadestown, a song can change your fate. Journey to the underworld and back with the eight-time Tony Award winner, created by singer-songwriter Anaïs Mitchell and director Rachel Chavkin and coming to The Fabulous Fox Theatre.
