In a Nutshell
My cat loves to lick me. I never let her go near my mouth, but I always let her kiss my nose and hands. It's believed to be a sign of affection if your pet "grooms" or greets you this way, so who am I to stop her from showing me love?
Some may think it's "gross" to let your pet kiss you. But is it unhealthy? Let's discuss below.

Are there any health risks to pet kisses?
what's got us buzzing
Are there any health risks to pet kisses?
Confirmed: Some pets, including dogs and cats, lick their caregivers to show love. This behavior likely stems from when their mothers groomed them as babies.
Also confirmed: There are potential health risks of letting them do this. Pets do carry germs and bacteria in their mouths that could make humans sick. However, experts consider the chance of this happening to be pretty low.
Those at higher risk of illness are children, people over 65, pregnant people, and those who have compromised immune systems.
Good hygiene practices can reduce the possibility of getting sick from pet kisses. Think washing your face and preventing them from licking your mouth, nose, eyes, or open wounds. Making sure your pet is up-to-date on vet appointments, vaccinated, and without active infections could also help protect your health (and theirs!).
All this to say, you're probably safe to let your pet show you love this way.

Uproot Clean Pro Pet Hair Remover
Uproot Clean Pro Pet Hair Remover
As a mom to a long-haired cat who sheds like it's her job, nearly everything I own is covered in fur. A standard lint roller works well on my clothes, but Uproot is hands down the best pet hair remover I've used to de-fur my couch, rugs, and bedding. When I lived in an apartment with carpeted floors, I vacuumed frequently, and the Uproot would still ~uproot~ mounds of stray fur. I can't recommend this tool enough to my fellow pet parents.
