The Bost Bulletin Dear Friend, What an amazing morning. I had the honor of attending the Inauguration of President Donald J. Trump, marking the start of an exciting new chapter for America. President Trump outlined his vision for restoring our nation's strength and delivering conservative wins for the American people, including securing our borders, extending tax relief, unleashing economic growth, and shrinking the size of bloated government. I am eager to get to work with President Trump to deliver a brighter, stronger future for Southern Illinoisans and all Americans. Hosting a Southern Illinois Inaugural Watch Party It may be 20 degrees outside, but that didn't stop Southern Illinois from showing up to support President Trump. We had a great crowd for our inaugural watch party in the Cannon House Building today. The second President Trump took the stage, the crowd went wild. Meet Doris Throgmorton Miller This is Doris Throgmorton Miller. She's a dedicated, 91-year-old Trump supporter from Vienna, Illinois, whose dream it was to visit Washington for President Trump's Inauguration. She braved the cold temps and flight delays to join us in DC; and we were so happy to have her! Celebrating with Southern Illinois I was excited to host a Southern Illinois Inaugural Reception in Washington, D.C., to celebrate President Trump’s historic second term. It was blessed to welcome so many friends and neighbors to the Nation’s Capital. All corners of Southern Illinois were well represented, thank you to all who joined us! Honoring our Veterans On Sunday, I had the special privilege of joining President Trump and Vice President Vance at Arlington National Cemetery for a solemn wreath-laying ceremony honoring our fallen heroes. As Chairman of the House Veterans’ Affairs Committee, I know the incoming administration is going to be deeply focused on serving the needs of those who served our country.
