It’s disappointing, but it’s happening more than ever. With the way book publishing, AI, and social media are trending, books and book recommendations are everywhere… but it's harder than ever to know which books you’ll actually love.
Too often, we see reviews that start with, “I just couldn't tell why everyone else was so excited about this...” Sound familiar? Whether you read 50+ books a year or five, it happens to everyone.
And then there’s the other side of the coin—the endless cycle of choosing what to read next. Your TBR list keeps growing, and before you know it, you have two hobbies: reading, and managing your TBR.
There’s nothing wrong with that if it’s intentional, but for many readers, it’s exhausting.
Fortunately, there’s a better way to cut through the noise, find books you genuinely love, and curate a TBR list that works for you.
I’ll get into that soon… but first, in my next email, I’ll break down the bad reading habits I’ve seen that lead to wasted time, wasted money, and too many DNFs.
