Good Morning! Welp, since there are only two Porsche auctions ending over the weekend, that doesn’t leave me much to write about for Monday’s edition of SML. But I’ll be back in your in-box Tuesday morning as quite a few interesting cars end next Monday. Have a great weekend! |

For the 1970 model year, the 911E received Porsche’s larger 2.2-liter flat-six, replacing the 2.0-liter engine used in 1969. Along with the increase in displacement came improved torque and drivability, while mechanical fuel injection remained a key feature separating it from the carbureted 911T. Sitting squarely between the entry-level T and the high-performance 911S, the 911E offered an ideal balance of everyday usability and spirited performance, making it one of the most well-rounded models in Porsche’s lineup for 1970 and 1971. |
This 1970 911E Coupe 5-Speed came finished in Silver Metallic over a Black leatherette interior with corduroy inserts and showed 63,000 miles. Originally purchased new in France by a U.S. serviceman, it returned to the States after his deployment before being sidelined for nearly four decades following engine trouble. After changing hands in 2014, the car was refurbished with a repaint in its factory color and a rebuild of the 2.2-liter flat-six. More recent service included a gearbox reseal, valve adjustment, and new spark plugs. A cool little car with a great ownership story. |
Over the past twelve months, 1970-71 911E Coupe values have averaged $148,333, with sales ranging from $110,000 to $225,000. We last saw our Spotlight Car in March 2023, when it failed to sell at a final bid of $106,000. This time around, it found a new home at a final bid of $112,000, right in line with the majority of comparable sales. I’d call that a fair deal all around. |

Would you look at that, our first 992.2 C4 GTS sale. Finished in triple Black, this 2,366-mile 2025 911 Carrera 4 GTS Coupe has been wrapped in satin paint protection film for a very cool look and came well-optioned from the factory with Premium Package, Front Axle lift, Adaptive Sport Seats, and more for an original MSRP of $198,665. It sold at a final bid of $178,000, $186,900 all-in. That final bid matches the lowest no-sale bid we’ve had thus far, which was brought by a 647-mile example in February of this year. About time one of these hammered sold.
This 1991 911 Carrera 2 Coupe 5-Speed was a Japanese-market example that came finished from the factory in Mint Green over a Black leather interior. It looked to be in nice condition with the seller noting a bit of paintwork and an extensive engine-out service in 2026. Showing 133,000 km (~83k miles), comps put it in the $97,500 to $146,100 range, but Mint Green sent it to a new twelve-month high, hammering at a final bid of $205,000.
While I was a fan of the Paint-to-Sample Signal Yellow on this 1992 911 Carrera RS, I had a feeling it might go unsold as it was located in France. Showing 76,000 km (~47k miles), this RS wasn’t perfect, but it was thoroughly enjoyed and presented honestly, flaws and all. Had this already been here in the US, I’m sure a deal would have been done. But it ended up failing to sell at a final bid of €154,964 ($176,977).

Showing just 3,100 miles on the odometer, this 1996 911 Carrera 4 Coupe 6-Speed is the lowest mileage example we’ve seen over the last twelve months, by a long-shot. Finished in Guards Red over a Black leather interior, this 993 C4 looks to be in excellent condition inside, outside, and underneath as evidenced by the photos in the gallery. The top of the market sits at $116,000 for a 59,000-mile example with this one bid to $110,000 with six days left to go. The auction is running without reserve, so she’s selling. The only question is: how much? I think there is at least another $50k here, maybe even more.
I love the Amazon Green Metallic over Cashmere Beige color combination this 1993 911 Carrera 2 Coupe 5-Speed wears, but I’d probably replace the aftermarket “whale tail” rear spoiler with a stock decklid. Showing 74k on the clock, this 964 comes with a pile of records and replacement parts for the modifications, so putting the rear end back to stock should be a breeze. Estimates put this one in the $94,800 to $145,000 range, but with color and records, I’d expect it closer to the top.
Not only does this Speed Yellow over Black 2002 Boxster S 6-Speed show just 15,000 miles, it came well-optioned from the factory with Sport Touring Package, Sport Design Package, 030 sports suspension, and sport seats. It’s also been fitted with Aerokit II bodywork, a sports exhaust system, and 18″ Kinesis Motorsport wheels for some tasteful modifications. While it may not be the lowest mileage example we’ve seen, it has all the right options and Yellow brings the bids. The $29,500 twelve-month high might be in trouble.
