In case you missed it, Team: Last week, Governor Walker spoke to the crowd at the Republican National Convention. Throughout his speech, he kept saying “Because America Deserves Better.” My advice to Scott Walker is this. Replace ‘America’ with ‘Wisconsin,’ and instead of facing the audience, face a mirror. Wisconsinites deserve better than what Governor Walker has done for them, which is why I’m fighting every day to make sure Republicans with ideas like Walker’s and Trump’s don’t get their way. We all know Walker didn’t make things better for working-class Wisconsinites when he stripped their collective bargaining rights or when he dismissed raising the minimum wage as a “lame” idea. He also didn’t make things better when he took health coverage and food assistance benefits away from low-income Wisconsinites. Scott Walker and his track record might fly at the Republican National Convention, but we know the truth: Wisconsin and the rest of the nation can do much better than Walker, Trump, and their failed economic policies.
