It's no secret:
Jazz standards are composed in many different keys - it's not good enough to be able to play only a few different keys.
On top of this, even in one jazz standard you might find multiple key changes - even up to 5, like in All The Things You Are.
And then, if you happen to play with a singer and they forget to bring some chord charts for you, there is a good chance that they will be singing a song in a different key than the one you learned it in.
I get it, it sounds intimidating.
