2) Shopping List for Making Cookies Keep these ingredients on hand to be able to make cookies anytime. 3) Freezing Cookie Dough Plus baking times to bake frozen and non-frozen cookie dough. | Recipe of the Week | | Aunt Wanda's Ginger Cookies 3/4 cup shortening or softened butter 1 cup plus sugar 1 egg 4 tablespoons molasses 2 cups flour 2 teaspoons baking soda 1/2 teaspoon salt 1-1/2 teaspoons ginger 1 teaspoon cinnamon Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease cookie sheet. Cream shortening and/or butter with sugar. Add egg and mix. Mix in molasses. Combine rest of ingredients with a wire whisk in separate bowl. Gradually add to sugar mixture until well combined. Shape into 1-inch balls. Roll in sugar and place on prepared cookie sheet. Bake for 12 minutes.
