Can you make calls into battleground states this weekend?

Obama - Biden
Lewis --

If turnout looks like 2008, when President Obama was elected on a wave of first-time and energized voters, we win. If it's 2010 all over again, and folks decide to stay home, we lose.

It's as simple as that. That's why we have to work hard to get out the vote in critical battleground states over the next week.

Folks from your state are calling voters in battleground states for our final get-out-the-vote push. There's a team in Salt Lake City -- we need you to join them.

Say you'll be there.

Here are the details:

What: Phone bank in Salt Lake City

Where: 175 West 200 South, Suite 1003
Salt Lake City, UT 84101

When: Shifts available through Election Day

RSVP now

Or join another event near you.

I know we've asked for a lot. In these last critical days, we need folks like you to step up and own every day from now until November 6th.

This is it, Lewis. I hope you're fired up -- because we're ready to go.

RSVP today:

Here we go,

Marlon Marshall
Deputy Field Director
Obama for America

A contributor may designate a contribution for a particular participant. This allocation formula may change if following it would result in an excessive contribution. Computerworld's 2013 Best Places to Work in IT: Call for Nominations

Computerworld's Best Places to Work in IT: Call for Nominations

Computerworld is seeking to identify the 100 top workplaces for IT professionals for our 20th annual Best Places to Work in IT list. We invite Computerworld readers, PR professionals and other interested parties to nominate organizations that they think are providing great working environments for IT employees, including challenging work, fair pay and ample training opportunities.

You can make your nomination here: https://response.questback.com/idg/bpnoms2013/
Past honorees say the distinction of being named to Computerworld's Best Places to Work in IT list helps them in their employee recruiting and retention efforts and spreads a positive message about their commitment to their IT workers.

And this year it's easier than ever to participate in the Best Places to Work in IT program. The 2013 survey has been streamlined so it's faster and easier to complete. The number of IT employees an organization must have to participate has been lowered, and the definition of an IT employee has been broadened to keep pace with changing roles and workplaces.

For more information, including an overview of the program, past Best Places to Work in IT lists and feature stories, a FAQ and a schedule of upcoming action items, please visit: http://www.computerworld.com/s/article/9044951/Best_Places_to_Work_in_IT

To be considered for our Best Places to Work in IT list:
• Organizations must have a minimum of 40 IT employees.
• Organizations based outside the U.S. must have a minimum of 300 total employees at a U.S. headquarters, a minimum of 40 IT employees in the U.S. and at least 50% of IT employees based in the U.S.
• In most cases, we prefer to have the parent organization, rather than subsidiaries or affiliates, apply for the Best Places to Work in IT list. However, a subsidiary or affiliate may be eligible, providing that it stands out as a separate entity from the parent organization, with separate business functions, IT leadership and so on. A subsidiary may also be eligible to apply separately if its parent organization is a holding company. In those cases, the parent organization and subsidiary may be able to apply separately. We encourage organizations to complete the nomination form or contact us at bestplaces@computerworld.com, and our Best Places research team will evaluate the submissions on a case-by-case basis.

The nomination deadline is Dec. 13, 2012.
Please feel free to email us at bestplaces@computerworld.com with any questions.

Those of you in the path of Hurricane Sandy, my prayers and the prayers of everyone I know are out to you and I also pray for a quick recovery. I have some neighbors that work for Com Ed and they volunteered to go where they were needed to help out. I saw a caravan of utility trucks from many states heading east. Operation Blessing and the Red Cross are there already and all volunteers need our prayers as well. God will see all of you through it in time.

I've attached the November newsletter. I trust the rest of you all had a good Halloween. We had the most kids we've seen in years. I had only a few candy bars left but by the time you read this, those will be gone as well. I dressed as myself and it scared the daylights out of everyone. Take care.

Tonight is your LAST SHOT

Obama - Biden
OK, Lewis -- this is literally the last email you're going to get from us about a contest on this campaign.

There's less than a week left until Election Day, and there's a lot of work left in these next few days. But after it's all over, wouldn't it be awesome to fly to Chicago to meet the President and have a front-row seat for his Election Night speech?

This chance expires in just a few hours, at midnight tonight.

Don't wait: Donate $5 or whatever you can right now to be automatically entered to come to Chicago for Election Night and get front-row tickets to history.

It's all going to come down to these last few days, and every dollar you donate today will go straight to getting our message out -- and getting voters to the polls -- in battleground states across the country.

You can make sure we don't get beat by the barrage of outside spending -- and you'll be entered for a chance to meet President Obama and be in Chicago for his speech on Election Night. But not if you wait.

Donate $5 or whatever you can right now:

Obama for America

No purchase, payment, or contribution necessary to enter or win. Contributing will not improve chances of winning. Void where prohibited. Entries must be received by October 31, 2012. You may enter by contributing to Obama for America here, by signing up for Quick Donate here, or click here to enter without contributing or signing up for Quick Donate. Two (2) winners will each receive the following prize package: round-trip tickets for winner and a guest from within the fifty U.S. States, DC, or Puerto Rico to a destination to be determined by Sponsor; hotel accommodations for winner and a guest; tickets for winner and a guest to an event of Sponsor; and the opportunity to meet with President Obama (approximate retail value of all prizes $2,800). Odds of winning depend on number of entries received and the timing of entries received. Promotion open only to U.S. citizens, or lawful permanent U.S. residents who are legal residents of the 50 United States, District of Columbia and Puerto Rico and 18 or older (or age of majority under applicable law). Promotion subject to Official Rules and additional restrictions on eligibility. Sponsor: Obama for America, 130 E. Randolph St., Chicago, IL 60601.

Paid for by Obama for America

Contributions or gifts to Obama for America are not tax deductible.
