FRISCO, Texas (Jan. 28, 2010) - The US Youth Soccer National League Under-15, Under-16 and Under-17 Boys teams will resume league play Feb. 13-15 at Weston Regional Park in Weston, Fla., as a part of the Weston Cup Showcase tournament.

Games in Weston will feature four of eight boys teams per age group with the remaining four boys teams in each age group competing in Las Vegas, March 19-21 at Player's 2010 Soccer Showcase to finalize League standings. At the end of the Las Vegas weekend, the League champions and two qualifiers for the 2010 US Youth Soccer National Championships http://www.usyouthsoccer.org/link.asp?l=15&mid=698003&lid=103945 will be determined.

"With only two weekends of play remaining for the US Youth Soccer National League, and one Under-15 Girls team already earning advancement to the National Championships, we are expecting top notch competition from the boys’ teams in Weston, Fla.," said Paul Luchowski, US Youth Soccer National League commissioner. “Now in our third season, the National League has built a reputation of hosting meaningful matches for the nation’s top teams, all looking to capture the ultimate prize of a national title. As the League moves closer to completing the 2009-2010 season, it will continue to provide additional value and exposure for players to collegiate, professional and U.S. National Team coaches."

The League is an extension of the highly successful US Youth Soccer Regional Leagues (US Youth Soccer Region I (East) Premier League, Midwest Regional League, Region III (South) Premier League and Far West Regional League). In addition to recruiting opportunities, National League teams compete for the league title and two slots per gender age group to the annual National Championships.

Since its inception, National League representatives have captured a combined eight National Championships. In 2008, seven of the eight championship finals slots in the Under-15 and 16 age groups were won by National League teams, which resulted in the League's first four National Championships. The League notched four more National Championship titles in 2009 including the Under-15 Boys (Baltimore Casa Mia Bays) and Girls (San Diego Surf) as well as Under-16 Boys (Dallas Texans 93 Red) and Under-17 Girls (Eclipse Select).
