A new way to get around town

Cabs in Dallas are like girls at Baylor: they're really expensive, and take forever to give you a ride. Hopping to provide you an alternative, EFROGS.
After noticing a makes-it-street-legal license plate on the 12-passenger Art Cart, a One Arts valet manager got the idea to offer a quick-to-pick-you-up shuttle service between Dallas' prime arts & entertainment neighborhoods, buying three Global Electric Motorcars and rechristening them EFROGS (Eco-Friendly Rides On Green Shuttles); the city stymied him with cab-permit hassles, so he's making his nut selling on-cart ad space, and offering the rides for free + reasonable tip, which sadly doesn't include "Never trust a man with an ascot". To take advantage, just send a text with your location and destination, and the dispatch replies with an ETA; wait times are usually around ten minutes unless there's bad traffic, i.e., everything after Steve Winwood left. Though not exactly freeway-ready, the whips do get up to 30mph, and to start out they're running Mon-Sat between Deep Ellum, Downtown, Uptown, Oak Lawn, Knox-Henderson, and Victory Park, with Sunday operation if the Stars or Mavs are in town -- offering you the opportunity to take a green ride to watch a recycling project (go Peja Stojakovic!).
EFROGS is planning to expand its Dallas fleet, and open up service in Arlington and Fort Worth, where the native Frogs are slightly less high maintenance, and will hop on you almost immediately.
