Webb opened the final round one stroke behind Chie Arimura, who had led after each of the first three rounds, but used six birdies against the bogeys to out-duel Arimura, whose final round 71 included four birdies and three bogeys. Webb finished the tournament at 13-under 275, one stroke better than Arimura. World No. 1 Yani Tseng, who has four tournament wins already this year, had a 5-under 67 Sunday and wound up third at 10-under while Yoo Sun-young (69) was fourth at 8-under and Morgan Pressel (68) was fifth another stroke back. Tseng had five birdies on the front nine but fell out of contention with bogeys at Nos. 10 and 12 and even birdies at 13 and 16 weren't enough for her to catch the leaders. Webb was three strokes back when she ran off four consecutive birdies from Nos. 11-14, a stretch in which Arimura was 1-over. Webb's 37th career victory is 12th best on the LPGA chart, three wins behind No. 11 Carol Mann. Nathan Horton also scored and Patrice Bergeron added an empty-netter for Northeast Division-leading Bruins, who won a fourth consecutive game for the first time since the early weeks of the season. Tim Thomas improved his career record against the Canucks to 3-0, turning aside 27-of-28 shots. Manny Malhotra scored and Roberto Luongo made 22 saves for NHL-best Vancouver, which lost for only the second time after scoring the first goal of the game. The top-seeded Ferrer outlasted Almagro 7-6 (7-4), 6-7 (2-7), 6-2, ending the Spaniard's bid to become the first player ever to win three straight Latin American titles. Almagro took both the Costa do Sauipe and Buenos Aires events, notching 13 wins in a row before bowing out in the finals at Acapulco in a match that lasted 2 hours, 41 minutes. Ferrer, meanwhile, collected his 11th career victory, raising his record in finals to 11-10. He had posted come-from-behind wins in the preceding two rounds over No. 7 Juan Monaco and No. 6 Alexandr Dolgopolov.
