July 29, 2011

Dear Indiana,

Nisha is kicking off the Fair Farm Bill Road Trip tomorrow in Maine, and Eric and Karina will continue the road trip in New York and Pennsylvania. We'll be doing exciting events to build the movement for a fair farm bill in 20 states over the next 30 days. Sign up to get a weekly email update with photos, video blogs, stories from the road and other exciting news from the Fair Farm Bill Road Trip!

Agribusiness monopolies, staggering food recalls and poor access to healthy food are the everyday proof that our food system is broken, and this didn't happen by accident. Decades of failed farm policy have pushed farmers off the land, and left consumers big box stores full of unhealthy food. Just about every fragment of our nation's broken food system can be tied back to failed policies in the Farm Bill.

We're building a massive grassroots organizing movement aimed at changing
federal policy and making our food system fair for all. Our organizers will be visiting 20 states in 30 days, and engaging 30,000 people along the way. We'll be doing all the driving, but you can follow along and get updates from every part of the road trip. Sign up to get one email per week during the road trip to learn about all the good and bad things we find in our food system during the road trip.

What better way to survive the August heat than by getting cool updates from the Fair Farm Bill Road Trip?
