Senate (Once Again) calls for NASA to Announce SLS Heavy Lift Rocket Plans Immediately

Senator Kay Bailey Hutchinson, Ranking Member of the Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee, has issued another statement calling on NASA to announce the heavy lift Space Launch System (SLS) rocket design immediate to prevent more job layoffs. 

NASA is scheduled to formally receive the independent cost assessment run by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) on August 19, the same date as that of the letter from Hutchinson, and the OMB assessment is expected to confirm that the SLS plan is “financially and technically sound.”...Read More
