Amazon's Black Friday Deals Highlight Need for Virtual Contact Center Software


The unofficial beginning of the holiday shopping season occurs the day after Thanksgiving, often known by those who pay the credit card bill as Black Friday (News - Alert). This year, the traditional one-day sales event kicks off this week, at least for Amazon customers.


The online retail giant launched its Black Friday Deals Store yesterday morning, giving consumers nearly a full month to take advantage of rock-bottom prices on electronics, games, jewelry, clothing and more.

Available deals include a Fujifilm FinePix F505 Digital Camera for $179, down from $399.95, and a TomTom (News - Alert) XXL 5-Inch Widescreen GPS Navigator, once $169.95, now $79.99 – at least until Black Friday.


"When it comes to holiday gift shopping there are three things customers want: low prices, items to be in-stock and ready to ship, and a convenient shopping experience," Amazon spokeswoman Sally Fouts noted in a statement.
