Good afternoon Andrew,

Metals ended the New York trading session lower across the board as Euro currency weakness and a disappointing U.S. Retail Sales report gave traders a reason to lighten up on positions.....The Euro slipped today as a growing number of analysts remain skeptical about the realities of enforcing the Greek austerity plan....Talk is cheap; enactment will be the telling....Doubts remain high with traders exiting the Euro currency.....Last on the Euro $1.3110 off 83/100ths of cent versus the U.S. Greenback....Over in the energy markets the price of Crude fell from the mid session highs as the Greek skepticism, and disappointing U.S. retail sales trumped the ongoing Iranian geo-political concerns....Last on Crude $100.65 down 26 cents per barrel......Earlier in the day Crude was up by about $2.00 per barrel.....As for the metals; Silver slid 31 cents to $33.45......Gold shed $4.00 to $1719.00.....Palladium closed at $693.00 down $13.00 per ounce.....Platinum fell $22.00 to end at $1631.00.....Volume was moderate.....When we return tomorrow the U.S economic calendar goes into high gear with the following reports scheduled for release.....The New York Empire State Index of Manufacturing, U.S. Industrial Production, Capacity Utilization, the Weekly Oil Inventories, and the release of the minutes from the last Fed meeting....The data should make for an interesting trading day....Meanwhile Europe and Iran remain the wild cards....I'll be back tomorrow morning with the latest.....That's it.....Have a good afternoon......
