Jean-Louis cheese, at the farm, Flemington & Denville tomorrow!
The first wheel of our Jean-Louis cheese is ready! We began our 2012 production
during the spring milk surge, and the very first wheel was split open this afternoon.
It is red-winey, grassy, beefy and complex, and avocado-soft.
We'll have it at our farm store tomorrow (Sun), and we're sending some to Denville
and Flemington as well, along with Amram, Frolic and Cheddar.

Bobolink's Tenth Birthday: Next Sunday afternoon at the farm!

It was August 2002: we had just sold our house in Westchester County, NY, and moved
our family to a rented farm in Sussex County, NJ.
We invested our home equity in cows, so while the housing market crashed and burned
around us through the decade, our home equity was having babies.
Here we are, ten years later--the kids have grown up (more or less), we own our
own farm, and, having survived droughts, hurricanes, vandals, a NIMBY mob, and other
obstacles that ranged from improbable to seemingly impossible, we are pleased to
be here to invite you to our TENTH birthday bash!
Come hear our old friend, the music legend David Amram, while enjoying breads, cheeses,
roast pig, roast beef, Bobolink burgers, and more, along with ales from the Ship
Inn and produce from our garden and the gardens of our colleagues.
The weather is forecast to be a pleasant 75F, no rain!

where our son Jacob was a student for ten years. (this gives us a headcount for
planning purposes, and helps support a great place for kids with autism!)

food a la carte at reasonable prices, and we'll also have Ship Inn ales and fruit
juice spritzers, and you can bring your own wine if you like. Bring a lawn blanket
or chair!
