The crew behind Brick+Mortar first tasted success with their New American tavern concept in Santa Monica before eyeing the former Merk space on a recent episode of Hotel Hell and deciding to make it their second location with the downstairs now open, and plans to turn the upstairs into a speakeasy-esque bar.
