Dear Indiana, If I've learned one thing in my years as an activist, it's that you can't win big victories alone: we can only do it when we all come together, and tackle our fights from every angle.
It's also why we need you. Donate now, and together we'll make big things happen.
As Board Chair, I'm proud that Food & Water Watch is one of the only organizations that combines groundbreaking national research with the local organizing power needed to win in communities across the country. Since this organization was founded, we've put together this dynamic combination of knowledge and people-power with the support of a robust network of members who donate to our work (and I hope you'll join them).
Our research program means that science is on our side. We have the facts to dispel myths and take the right position on hard issues, but that research doesn't just sit on a shelf. We use it to educate citizens who might not know that fracking is happening in their backyard, or that genetically engineered ingredients are already in our grocery stores. We use it to answer hard questions from lawmakers, and to counter industry-funded studies when they make it into the news. Then, our team of 25 organizers bring people together to fix these problems.
All our research, all our organizing, counts for nothing without you. We need your support, your passion, and your commitment to make this critical work happen. I'm excited to say that there's never been a better time to donate, because when you give now, your gift will be multiplied thanks to a generous triple-match from one of our donors.
Just like our organizing and research teams work together to help us win, you'll be an essential part of our team when you donate to help us take on the big businesses that want to control your food and water. Your donation will support our organizing and our research, and will help us achieve even more big victories together in 2013. Can you donate today so your gift will be triple-matched?
Please give generously, because we're all in this together: http://act.foodandwaterwatch.org/site/Donation2?df_id=1700&1700.donation=root Thanks for your support,
