I have waited five long years to make this announcement, and I can hardly contain my excitement--I am so very proud of our newest creation, and happy to announce the Orange Blossom Collection, available now! It took years of formulating and testing, and yes, stubbornness, but I think we finally hit the mark on our first entirely natural AND organic AND entirely Vegan skin and body care line, while still maintaining our strict adherence to purity and being chemical-free. Simply put--there is no other product line we know of that can make this claim, which also makes me very proud. Aside from all of that, though, is the feedback and enthusiasm we have received from our test subjects and everyone agrees--the scent is just heavenly, and quite a bit different from anything else we offer.
If you've ever had the opportunity to wander through an orange orchard in full flower, then you know what a unique and beautiful scent Orange Blossoms possess--lightly floral, with citrus and vanilla undertones and delicate, without being cloying or overly sweet. In this blend, we have captured the heady, exotic allure of Orange Blossom with a gorgeous Italian Neroli essential oil from the Bitter Orange (Citrus aurantium) tree. Bitter Orange is aptly named because the fruit of the tree is so bitter and unappealing, and yet it yields three very important essential oils in perfumery and aromatherapy: Bergamot, from the pressed peels of the bitter orange fruit, Petitgrain, from the twigs and leaves, and finally, the most valued--Neroli, from the delicate blossoms. It takes approximately 1,000 lbs of Bitter Orange Blossoms to yield just one precious pound of Neroli oil, and so you can see why it is also among the most precious and expensive of all oils. We think the scent is worth every penny. In aromatherapy, this essential oil is prized for not only its uplifting, strengthening, yet calming effects, but also for its many benefits for any skin type, including sensitive skin, by toning, softening wrinkles and scar tissue, and stimulating cellular renewal and growth, among others.
In our Orange Blossom Collection, we utilize all three essential oil components of the Bitter Orange tree, as well as Neroli hydrosol--the recaptured distillate water that is a product of the distillation of the essential oil. We offer a complete three-part skincare collection with a unique facial Cleansing Masque, Toner and Vegan Moisturizer, and a choice of three body products in an organic Sugar Polish, Massage Oil and Vegan Massage/Body Creme, for a comprehensive, whole body experience.
As we move into the warmer weather, I'd also like to just take a quick note to remind you that some of our products do not hold up well in the extreme heat of summer during shipping, despite our best efforts to protect them, so this is a great time to stock up on any of our Get Whipped! Shea Butters, Body Melt, Overnight Sensation Foot Butters and other heat sensitive products, before the high temps hit. The Orange Blossom Vegan Facial Moisturizer and Massage/Body Creme are included in this list of heat sensitive products.
