Lewis -- After the election last year, we faced some tough questions about what would happen to our movement: How do we sustain the sense of citizenship that drove people? How do we build a more permanent community around our shared hopes for the future? And most importantly, how do we counter the special-interest groups and lobbyists who tend to dominate the political discussion and legislative process in Washington -- and who definitely didn't shut down their efforts after the election? Organizing for Action is the answer to those questions. OFA is going to make sure that the voices of everyday Americans that were heard loud and clear on Election Day don't get silenced. What a majority of Americans voted for can only become a reality if we take responsibility to continue fighting for it. I'm going to keep on working as hard as I know how. But I can't do this alone. Say you're in: http://my.barackobama.com/Are-You-In I'm excited about this. I know you can do some amazing things, and I'm glad to have you on my side. Thanks, Barack | |
