No other sector is affected by the "conspiracy of misinformation" quite like the energy sector. Entire websites are devoted to spinning the tale. Documentaries are made - most without a hint of scientific validity. And the mainstream press can barely get the headlines right, let alone the vital details. Nuclear energy, fracking, coal, even wind are the center of a great debate. Investors who understand what's truly happening stand to make immense amounts of money. We've written about the sector in great detail over the last year. But as Steve discusses in his latest segment of the "Slap in the Face" Award, investors remain shrouded by misinformation. Better yet, Steve explains why the recent downturn is "the best opportunity in years to make a mountain of money." Click here to watch the video Something Sean Brodrick wrote this week is also worth remembering. He discussed three wild cards for energy investors: natural gas, consumers and Putin. (You can read his article here.) While the variables are intricate, his conclusion was simple. "There are big changes going on in the energy markets right now," Sean wrote. "Some are as simple as the weather. Some are as complex as international deals. But they all hold potential for extraordinary gains if you bet on the right stocks." And Dave Fessler hit on the "conspiracy" on Friday, with his piece about energy efficiency. While the mainstream press wants to sell newspapers by convincing us the world's economy is going bust... the truth is we're simply not wasting as much fuel. As I said, the potential within the energy sector has been one the biggest (and most misreported) themes of the year at The Oxford Club (the publisher of Investment U). And since we were just handed a huge opportunity, it has quickly become the hottest theme of November. Because we are convinced this is one of the biggest moneymaking opportunities in generations, we're putting immense effort into overcoming the conspiracy. A major part of that project is a special online event hosted by the Club. Later this week, our industry experts will gather to discuss the latest opportunities within the industry. Consider this your invitation to an event you don't want to miss. Just click here. Good investing, Andrew Snyder Editorial Director, The Oxford Club
