And he was sharing this with me just for the heck of it.   So when he told me that 50 states and three territories were paying out $62 billion in "unclaimed money" to 117 million people in America... I thought I should at least check it out.   The first thing I did was research the programs.   I found a story from The Huffington Post that said it "takes only a few minutes and could be worth big money."   I found a CNN story that said "millions of Americans are missing out on billions."   I found a New York Times story stating that New York residents were due $13.3 billion... and similar stories in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Ohio... all over the country.   This looked legitimate... so I decided to try it out for myself.   I still believed I'd end up coming up snake eyes.   But lo and behold... it didn't happen that way.   On my first try, I was able to claim more than $1,700.   Here's a shot of me with my check.
