Friday - February 3 Casting with Joe Humphreys - Friday 8:30-11:00 am Tight brush, tuck cast, slack leader cast, you’ll learn it all from a legendary caster and teacher. Joe is one of the best instructors and has more coaching and teaching experience than any other instructor. All Levels. Click Here to Register Advanced Nymphing with George Daniel - Friday 8:30-11:00 am The class looks at both indicator and tight line tactics, then understanding the strengths and weaknesses of each tactic. Casting both long leaders (euro) and indicator rigs will be covered, along with line control and reading the drift. This class is designed to make the student proficient with all nymphing tools and tactics. Intermediate and up. Click Here to Register Casting Angles with Mac Brown - Friday 2:00-4:30 pm  Learning to control various line positions for the drift to have a chance is essential for progressing as an angler. Mac’s instruction is the quickest way to learn the foundation of what to practice. Once you can cast accurately and efficiently, you will have a direct increase for your time spent on the stream. All Levels.   Click Here to Register Practical Nymphing with Ed Engle - Friday 2:00-4:30 pm This class will introduce beginning and experienced nymphers to the foundation nymphing techniques such as high-stick, tight-line, and long line that are the basis every nymphing style. Learn when to use the various techniques, nymph rigs for each of them, attractor and match-the-natural nymph fly patterns and how to modify the basic nymphing techniques for unique on-the-water situations. He’ll discuss the pros and cons of floating strike indicators, sighter-style strike detection and other ways to detect strikes. Ed will talk about regional differences in nymphing styles. He’ll also discuss the importance of simplifying your nymphing. There will be a “hands-on” break to demonstrate useful knots and rigs for nymph fishers. Both novice and experienced nymph fishermen with come away from the class with a clearer vision of nymphing techniques and principles and how to apply those principles to their home waters. You need this technique in your game plan, especially as a searching method or to entice trout when they’re finicky. Learn different presentation styles. This class will cover types of foam, materials, glues & paints, and tying tools for foam flies; both conventional & creative non-conventional tools. You will learn to use the tools to fabricate existing and new foam body parts. Kevin will then cover creative finishing techniques using luminescent paints and epoxy and the Copic Painting System.
