Court delays US TikTok app ban

US District Court Judge Carl Nichols issued a ruling Sunday that temporarily blocks the Trump administration's TikTok download ban for new US users, which was to begin today, giving TikTok owner ByteDance more time to solidify its deal with Oracle and Walmart. The Commerce Department still plans to implement its Nov. 12 full app ban for US users if an agreement has not been reached between the parties and gained US and Chinese government approval.
