Make eye contact in videos to establish a connection with viewers, incorporate a test period before deciding if the effort is successful or not and don't be discouraged if your first video doesn't get the amount of views you wanted, writes Liu.

Zhang Yiming, founder of TikTok's parent company ByteDance, is reconsidering options regarding the sale of its US assets amid required US and Chinese government approvals and may forgo a deal or make a decision after the deadline, say Bloomberg sources. The Wall Street Journal reports that TikTok bidders are trying to determine whether the Chinese government's new restrictions on the export of artificial intelligence technology would apply to the app's core algorithm, which is considered its "secret sauce."

Facebook expands content policies to cover legal risks

Facebook plans to start blocking or removing any content globally that poses increased regulatory or legal risk beginning Oct. 1 as part of its amended terms of service. The rule stems from a proposed law in Australia forcing the social platform to pay media firms for articles but is being enforced globally, and marks a departure from CEO Mark Zuckerberg's stance on the importance of free speech, Bloomberg reports.
