2020/12/29

It's the moment we've all been waiting for....

This year is so close to being over, Indiana Jones!

We are DAYS away from being able to wave goodbye to 2020 for good.

In the past few weeks, I've shared about our family's challenges and grief from the year, and I've shared about the hope and joy that I see among the mess.

I know that just because we flip the switch on a new year doesn't mean that everything will magically get better. I wish that could be true, but the reality is that we will press on into this new year as...

  • STRONGER
  • MORE RESILIENT
  • MORE PATIENT
  • MORE GRACIOUS
  • MORE COMPASSIONATE

...than we ever thought we could be in this life.

Let's take what we've learned from the challenges of 2020 and show 2021 what we've got!

*high five*

Alright...things are a bit different on the blog this week, being that it's the beginning of the week between Christmas and New Years...

...also known as the "week where you don't know what day it is, what you're supposed to be doing, and it doesn't really matter!" Right?!?

I do have some newsworthy information to share this week, as you think about how you might want to get your act together in 2021! :P

(Act together = be better at meal planning, get grocery spending back under control, put 10 meals into the freezer each month, etc.)

First >>

Amazon now accepts SNAP EBT benefits on eligible items in your grocery order! I just learned this recently and was mind blown!!

Second >>

Top Searched is up on the blog!

Third >>

This past summer, I had a fireworks-in-my-brain kind of moment when I discovered the "espresso morsels" for baking at Target. I picked them up off the shelf and my brain went immediately to...

a cookie series with all the best Starbucks drink flavors.

I promptly started baking my way through all the different combos...

Salted Caramel Mocha, Peppermint Mocha, Cinnamon Frapp, etc...

The end result is a marvelous list of 7 cookies, plus a fudge, all based on the most popular drinks from the 'bucks.

Fourth >>

About that "getting your act together"...

Did you see these?!

I snuck them into the Erin Chase Store at Thanksgiving, and I don't think I've mentioned them here yet.

But you NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THEM AND GET SOME THIS WEEK.

They are great for being organized in both the kitchen...and in life!

  • Order today and they should arrive to you by the turn of the new year! (That is...if USPS has fully recovered from the holiday shipping madness!?!)

Fifth (and final) >>

Curious about that "10 meals in the freezer each month" I mentioned above?

Well...that's how I do freezer meals, and how you should too.

There's still time to get the December PDFs ordered...

And on Friday (the 1st), the new PDF freezer meal plans for January will be available.

Alrighty...that's that for this week, Indiana Jones!

I'll check in with you again on Sunday!

xo
