First off...for my fellow Texans - we made it.
That is all.
If you're not from Texas, we appreciate your prayers and checking in on us. Imagine the first week or two of the pandemic and take away power and water and add sub-zero temps. It was brutal and exhausting and the loss is just devastating.
We are Texas Tough and we will unite to recover and rebuild. But first, a Texas-size virtual hug from me to you!
LOVE YOUR PET DAY!
Did you know that today is Love Your Pet Day?!
We adore our Cody and Daisy and love on them constantly. They truly are best friends with every member of our family. There will be extra snuggles, belly rubs and ear scratches today because it's LOVE YOUR PET DAY!!
Now that the snow is finally all melted, I'll do one final clean of the snowy, muddy paw prints that are ALL OVER the floors downstairs. And I'll keep showing my love by keeping our pups' areas and accessories clean and safe...
The Erin Chase Show: Season 3
This week's episode is all about cleaning and laundry. Which I find kinda ironic, because my laundry 'systems' came to a screeching halt this past week from the lack of power and water restrictions.
But...I did clean around the house. ALOT.
Because I needed to do something to keep me warm...but not like "exercise" that would make me sweat and thus get colder. I found cleaning to be just the right amount of movement to keep warm, when it was 50 inside in the house. And it helped me stay ahead of the "ice and snow tracks" the boys and puppies kept bringing into the house.
It also "anchored the days" for me. I learned in the early days of the pandemic that you need 'anchors' in your day when you're in survival mode. Back then, the Whis-Kid cooking lessons became the anchor to my day. This past week, keeping the house clean and tidy (while keeping warm) provided a similar anchor.
In this week's episode, I'm discussing cleaning and laundry systems with you and how/why you need to automate these in your life and home. When you're not in survival mode, of course.

Dinner Made Easy Show
Due to the aforementeioned crisis that occurred here in South Texas...the one that had us giddy and snowboarding in the front yard one day, and then boiling water for drinking and cooking without power the next. It was fun, until it wasn't. It was weird, and devastating.
We are thankful for the ways we got creative to make it through! I shared a photo of my "headlamp cooking" on Instagram and it got picked up by the national newswire - seriously, such a strange week.
Long story short...I wasn't able to do my weekly live cooking show this week. And I missed you dearly, but will be back this coming Thursday!
