Thanks for joining the Riverfront Times community

The Riverfront Times is surprisingly hard to kill.

We took a hammer blow during the pandemic that came far closer to doing the job than any of the human foes we've pissed off in the past 44 years. Honestly, there were some dark days around here when we weren't sure what the next week would bring, much less the next month.

But one of the greatest things about being down was seeing readers rally around the paper to keep us going. With the help of donations through the still-growing Riverfront Times Press Club, we've rehired most of the reporters and editors we had to lay off in March, started bulking up page counts again and, most importantly, published some incredible journalism: Price-gouging prescription drugmakers. The chaos of vaccine chasing. Literal on-the-ground reporting on St. Louis' jail uprisings. Thoughtful coverage of an historic mayoral election. An examination of the city's youth homicide crisis. Even a new section offering one-of-a-kind cannabis coverage. Week after week, the RFT's staff and contributors have delivered.
If you'd like to help keep independent local journalism viable in St. Louis, we invite you to join us by contributing as little as $5/month—or whatever amount you feel comfortable with. Every dollar goes toward keeping the lights on and funding our reporters, editors, photographers, and designers.

The Riverfront Times also publishes several newsletters including our weekly collections of event highlights, food and drink happenings. You can update your newsletter preferences and membership profile at this link or by clicking our logo in the bubble on the bottom-right of the website.

On behalf of our hardworking and dedicated staff, we appreciate your support, we welcome your feedback, and we'll strive every day to be worthy of your trust.

Better journalism for a better community,

Doyle Murphy, editor in chief
