- In August, United Airlines became the first U.S. carrier to require COVID-19 vaccinations for all domestic employees. The airline had set a Sept. 27 deadline for staff to provide proof of vaccination, according to Reuters. Out of over 67,000 employees, nearly 600 employees didn't get the vaccine.
