Procter & Gamble are wreaking havoc on ancient forests for single-use products

Charmin toilet paper production is DESTROYING the "Amazon of the North." Canada's boreal forest supports animals, communities, and our planet -- but it's being ravaged for corporate profit. Protect ancient, critical forests from irreversible destruction: Donate $27 or more today.

Filled with old-growth trees, the boreal forests' ancient wonders are being clear cut at a rate of one million acres a year -- just to be FLUSHED down the toilet. But Procter & Gamble insists on using 100% virgin fiber for its paper products like Charmin toilet paper, at a great cost to our planet.

P&G cannot be allowed to continue its degradation of this critical ecological area. You see, it could switch to recycled material for its paper products instead -- just like Trader Joe's and 365 Bath Tissue have done successfully. Better yet, it could address deforestation throughout all its supply chains. We need your help to push it to act, Friend.

Stop Procter & Gamble from flushing away old-growth forests. Protect forests and our planet with your $27 contribution today.

Procter & Gamble is connected to deforestation -- from the boreal forests in Canada to the ancient rainforests of Indonesia. Its suppliers source conflict palm oil to produce Head & Shoulders shampoo and Tide detergent. They slash the boreal to produce Charmin toilet paper. And they leave a trail of harmed wildlife, human rights violations, and climate catastrophe in their wake.

Threatened woodland caribou, for instance, have been struggling to survive in the boreal forest, relying on food that only old-growth forests can provide. But Procter & Gamble's suppliers are pushing them into smaller, more confined areas of the forest. Their very existence is on the line -- and future generations may never share the planet with these iconic creatures again.

At the same time, in Indonesia, Procter & Gamble sources materials from community-owned land that was ILLEGALLY grabbed without the consent of the communities themselves. After forcing local people off their land -- sometimes violently -- the suppliers devastate local waterways and destroy rich forests.

The impacts of deforestation are felt worldwide. Forests guard against the worst effects of climate change. They're carbon sinks -- the boreal alone stores millions of tons of carbon, translating to 36 years of fossil fuel emissions. As Procter & Gamble's suppliers cut down our forests, they release megatons of carbon into the atmosphere and speed up the climate crisis.

Ancient forests are being clear-cut to make products like Charmin and Head & Shoulders. Stop the destruction of our forests and our planet with your $27 contribution today.

The fact is that once we lose our treasured forests, there is no going back. Animals, people, and the planet will suffer for it while Procter & Gamble reaps the benefits of its destructive actions.

Your membership gift to Friends of the Earth can help us step up our fight to demand P&G stop its deforestation practices, require its suppliers to secure informed consent from local communities to use their land, and oust climate deniers from its board so we can work towards a healthier planet -- but we still have a lot of work to do.

Make your contribution of $27 or more to Friends of the Earth today and help us save our forests while there is still time. P&G's suppliers are clearcutting every day, and the longer we wait, the less forest there will be left to save. Please, make your gift today.

Stop our forests from going down the drain. Make your $27 contribution to take a stand for people, animals, and the planet.
