And did Hailey Bieber 'steal' Justin from Selena?
Things aren't looking good for Kanye West right now. It seems the rapper - who is known for constantly taking things too far - has taken things way too far for the fashion set, after he sent Black models strutting down the runway in T-shirts emblazoned with the slogan "White Lives Matter" during his Yeezy SZN 9 show at Paris Fashion Week. Cue the collective "WTAF". West's attempt to create subversive art backfired when he was heavily criticised for the stunt. One of his strongest critics was Garage magazine creative director and Vogue associate editor Gabriella Karefa-Johnson, who said his inclusion of the T-shirts was "indefensible". But West has never been one to readily admit he is wrong and hit back with a series of mocking posts about Karefa-Johnson - which has only garnered more backlash as the fashion world rallied around the beloved editor. From Linda Evangelista posting a "Black Lives Matter" black square on her Instagram in protest of the show to Gigi Hadid branding West as a "disgraceful man" for his jibes at Karefa-Johnson, the rapper has made himself rather unpopular in the fashion world right now. Even Vogue has issued a statement condemning his actions and said Karefa-Johnson had been "personally targeted and bullied". Can Ye claw his way back into favour? Only time will tell. While the style set grapples with West's actions, elsewhere, the UK feels like a social experiment gone terribly, terribly wrong. After prime minister Liz Truss and chancellor Kwasi Kwarteng nearly tanked the economy and sent the pound sterling into a nosedive, the cost of living crisis became even more concerning for Britons. From young people being worried they won't be able to afford food this winter to millions of adults taking on additional jobs to make ends meet, to say that things are looking grim is an understatement. We turned to the experts for the most cost-effective tips to stay warm as the temperatures drop. Crucially, these tips don't require you to spend lots of money on new gadgets - however, they may require some DIY. Elsewhere, we've also put together budget recipes that will keep your belly full and warm, from easy Middle East-inspired dinners to feeding a family of four for under £25 for a week. See you at the same time next week, KN |

What life is like with a stammer | Calorie labels: Helpful or harmful? |
Less than six months after the government mandated that all eateries with more than 250 staff must display calorie counts on their menus, reports suggest Liz Truss may do away with the policy. The law has been welcomed by obesity charities but faced fierce backlash from those vulnerable to eating disorders. Saman Javed explores whether the policy has had its desired effect, or has it done more harm than good? |
