Try this tip from Steph to get the good feelings flowing!
The holidays are a great time to be generous with others — and with yourself. I don't mean all the food and fun, though. I mean that generosity of spirit. You surely have it for the people you care about, but how are you showing YOU that you appreciate you? The way we talk to ourselves is a common theme that I talk with my clients about. Are you giving thanks for your efforts — no matter how small they are — or are you quick to dismiss them as not a big deal or not making enough of a dent in your goals? It's easy to be hard on ourselves. But when we shift to that attitude of gratitude for our own efforts, it changes our perspective. Instead of thinking, "Gosh, 5 minutes won't make a difference," try, "I'm so glad I have these 5 minutes to get moving! Way to go me!" That attitude keeps building and before you know it you may find that it's easier to be kind to yourself — and maybe even others, too! See you walking, Steph |
