The Library's Thomas Jefferson Building and all exhibitions will be open for extended hours on Thursdays. Live! at the Library: Rebekah Johnson Bobbitt National Prize for Poetry with Rita Dove and Heid E. Erdrich

This event celebrates the biennial Rebekah Johnson Bobbitt National Prize for Poetry, given in 2022 to former U.S. Poet Laureate Rita Dove for Lifetime Achievement and to Heid E. Erdrich for her poetry collection "Little Big Bully." Both winners will read from their work.
Benjamin Alard offers a second concert, this time on the harpsichord. Alard is currently recording the entirety of Bach's music for solo organ and harpsichord (with an occasional appearance of the clavichord), and recently released the sixth volume of this ambitious project. Join for a preconcert lecture by David Plylar, of the Library's Music Division, at 6:30 p.m. in the Whittall Pavilion.
Join us for a preconcert talk with Thomas Dunford, a passionate advocate for the sound of the solo lute, and his powerful but intimate program features music by composers from England to Italy, across the span of centuries, in a survey of remarkable lute literature.
