Explore the Big Band era and beyond at the Sherman Jazz Museum, home of a world-class collection of jazz memorabilia, including thousands of albums, trumpets owned by Miles Davis, Dizzy Gillespie, and Maynard Ferguson and more, life-size murals, and original art. Open Thursdays 1- 5 p.m.; admission is free! On May 13, sample a line-up of Texas-brewed beverages at Craft the Night Away, the 7th annual craft beer festival presented by Downtown Sherman Now. Roam the streets around the Grayson County Courthouse Square and round out your evening with food vendors and live blues bands. Sherman's 29th annual Hot Summer Nights concert series kicks off on June 1 with the Glenn Miller Orchestra on the Mayor Outdoor Stage; bring your lawn chair or blanket and enjoy classic Big Band sounds – free!
