In a moment, we’re going to ask you to help us reach our fundraising goal in honor of World Humanitarian Day. But first, we’re sharing a few words from Sara, a Save the Children aid worker in North Kordofan, Sudan.
Sara and her daughter escaped, walking over four hours to get home. But they, and everyone in Sudan, remain at risk due to this ongoing conflict. Food and water are scarce. Banks are closed. Electricity goes out intermittently. And the threat of violence is ever present.
Since April, more than 3.1 million people in Sudan have been displaced, nearly half of them children. Sara works at a camp where she registers displaced families and helps distribute critical resources.
