This is urgent, friend. We thought we were sure to hit our National Public Lands Day goal yesterday. But when we checked the numbers, we saw that we're still falling short. This is a huge blow to our efforts to protect vulnerable animals and the lands they live on – and it's coming at the worst possible moment for our planet. Here's why:

Trophy hunters are using their powerful lobby to attack the Endangered Species Act, one of our most crucial and effective environmental laws. And they're getting a major boost from destructive industries like mining, logging and oil companies. These greedy corporations are hell-bent on destroying wildlife habitats to extract more fossil fuels. At this point in the climate crisis, the consequences for our dangerously warming planet could be disastrous. And vulnerable species like our LAST gray wolves are feeling the pressure on all sides.

We set our goal of hitting $60,000 before our National Public Lands Day deadline because the situation for vulnerable wolf pups, bear cubs and other threatened creatures is dire. Fossil fuel corporations are TRIPLING DOWN on their planet-killing exploitation and pollution. They're seeking every opportunity to expand their dirty operations into some of the most pristine wilderness areas we have left. We can help stop them by protecting the Endangered Species Act and fighting to keep our precious public lands safe for essential wildlife. But time is running out, and we must increase our efforts to fight dirty industries before it's too late.
