Indiana Jones!!!
I have had the most fun time this week with you on the interwebz!
First, I loved "cooking live" again with you. I have greatly missed that and am easing my way back into these livestreams and hope to be back to a weekly schedule soon.
This past week, I prepped Slow Cooker Peach Chicken and you can watch the replay here on YouTube. I'm planning another livestream on Thursday, September 21st - more on that next weekend. :)
Also, I inadvertantly have picked up a few too many sauces from the grocery store. I have cooked with many different store bought and homemade sauces over the years. This summer, a friend introduced me to a salsa verde from Trader Joes, and in the same week I came across a new "marinade" at a grocery store near my mom's cabin...and they don't have it here. For some reason, those 2 incidents kick started this "find new fun cooking sauces" in my brain so I have been stopping longer on the condiment, marinade, and sauce aisle to read labels and look at options.
AND BOY OH BOY...look what I've gathered in just a few weeks.
In an attempt to not let any of these lovely sauces sit too long in the pantry, I've declared September to be "Saucy September" and I'm sharing all of the fun on social media - @5dollardinners/$5 Dinners on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube and Pinterest. Wherever you find me on social media, I'll be sharing about Saucy September. I have already posted the "freezer meal prep" where I used some of the sauces for 2 beef roasts, 4 pork chops and 5 chicken freezer meals. The remaining sauces will be used in my other day to day cooking! I'll be sharing more recipes throughout the month, so go follow along (if you aren't already!)
