President Joe Biden marked the third anniversary of the January 6 attack on the Capitol by warning Americans that democracy is "what the 2024 election is all about." In his first major event of the 2024 election season, Mr Biden emphasized the topic of democracy by reflecting on the day where America faced thousands of individuals storming the Capitol – and placed a heavy blame on his political opponent. "He promised it will be wild and it was — he told the crowd to fight like hell, and all hell was unleashed," Mr Biden said. "He's willing to sacrifice our democracy, to put himself in power."
